Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our Finance team in a large, complex, and fast-paced matrix organisation. Acting as a strategic link between Finance and multiple business units, you will provide insightful financial analysis, commercial guidance, and strategic support to drive business performance.

This highly visible role works closely with senior stakeholders and functional leaders to enable sound decision-making, deliver cost efficiency, and support long-term planning. You will also lead and develop a small team within the FP&A function, responsible for Finance Business Partnering across Central Functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage reporting, analysis, and SG&A expenditure (~£400M) to drive productivity.
  • Partner with senior leaders and functional heads for forecasting and analysis.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Deliver variance analysis and provide insights into risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations, commercial, and HR to enhance financial outcomes.
  • Translate complex data into concise reports for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning and performance management.
  • Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and compliance.
  • Act as liaison between Group Finance and business units to maintain consistency.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a small Finance Business Partnering team.

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in Central Function Business Partnering in a multinational environment.
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling, and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to influence, challenge and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex data simply.
  • Proficiency in financial systems (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion), advanced Excel; BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) advantageous.
  • Proven people management skills with experience in leading small teams.
  • Adaptable in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
