The Role: Digital Marketing Coordinator
As a Digital Marketing Coordinator, you will join an artist management firm to support the marketing team in planning, creative development, and execution of strategic marketing initiatives during album and tour cycles. This role involves building off creative vision and strategic goals for projects by drafting and managing social media calendars, executing posts, assisting with digital activations, and producing creative assets. The position is part of the cross-functional digital marketing team and reports to the Toronto Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day social media operations for an assigned roster of 15+ clients, including content calendar management and post execution on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and X.
- Thoroughly understand the strategic plan for album/tour cycles and develop social media posts that achieve marketing goals and encourage fan engagement.
- Deeply understand each client’s voice and vision, ensuring consistency across all digital platforms.
- Analyze social media performance metrics and research trends to inform future posting plans.
- Coordinate with internal creative teams and external partners for content creation and campaign execution.
- Maintain regular communication with artists and artist managers, adapting to various working styles.
- Ensure all creative assets are optimized for each specific social media platform.
What We're Looking For
- Previous hands-on experience posting on social media for artists, bands, brands, or entities with large followings.
- Strong written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, as needed for artist requests, despite standard office hours (10a-6p ET).
- A collaborative team player mentality, capable of adapting to changing priorities.
- Understanding the importance of User-Generated Content (UGC) and how to leverage artist channels to encourage new UGC creators.
- Knowledge of building and maintaining engaged online communities.
- Broad understanding of best practices for social platforms, with a strong emphasis on short-form channels.
- Aptitude for creative, out-of-the-box thinking and the ability to integrate different promotional elements of a marketing campaign.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently across multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to accept constructive feedback and revision requests, providing creative solutions that meet expectations.
- Tech-savvy command of project management software (e.g., Monday, Asana), business software (Microsoft Office suite), and cloud-based software (e.g., Google Docs/Drive, Dropbox, Box, Zoom, Notion).
- Ability to quickly edit short-form video using in-app tools (TikTok/Instagram) and editing apps like CapCut.
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop to create simple one-sheets or edit layouts from a .psd file.

- Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential data and interacting with high-level artists and industry executives.
- Experience in the music industry is preferred.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
This role involves sitting for extended periods at a computer station, standing and walking throughout the day, and occasionally moving within the office to access files or machinery. You will use hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours daily, lift up to 10 pounds regularly, and be exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
