Job Description
Data Analyst II at Littler
This position is primarily accountable for billable project work in support of the Client Data Solutions & Analysis (CDSA) team. In all client-facing work, the Data Analyst II will work in conjunction with a Littler Attorney. The billable hour expectation for this position is 1,500 hours per year.

Pursuant to California, Cleveland, Columbus, OH, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, and Washington, DC regulation, the pay range for this position is $103,727 to $142,670 annually and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities
- Actively participates in intake of client data for Data Analytics (CDSA) projects.
- Ensures data is complete, arranged, formatted, and structured as needed for accurate and efficient analysis.
- Responsible for combining multiple datasets from clients to support desired analysis, including preparation of comprehensive graphic coverage reports.
- Partners with attorneys and clients to pinpoint and prioritize data needed to support desired analysis.
- Assesses data as related to the desired approach and outcomes.
- Responsible for rapid and accurate assessment of data thoroughness and appropriateness relative to the business objectives desired.
- Ensures statistical method chosen is appropriate given data and attorney’s desired business objectives.
- As appropriate, may advise attorneys on appropriate analytical methods given the state of available data.
Independent analysis client data
- Responsible for efficient, accurate statistical modeling and analysis of client data in support of attorney-driven business objectives.
- Analysis will center around issues related to employment law (e.g., pay equity, reductions in force, and wage & hour).
Summary and presentation of findings
- Accountable for summary and presentation of findings with fidelity to the statistical results produced.
- Ensures final summaries are approachable and consumable by attorneys and clients who may not have advanced training in statistics or related fields.
- As required, ensures analysis is practical and scalable by including multiple scenarios.
- Partners with attorneys to finalize summary and presentation of findings.
Information security
- Ensures all work (including sending and receipt of data) conforms with Littler and client data security protocols.
- For assigned projects, is responsible for the assessment and quality control of specific techniques, code and tools used by other analyst team members.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in common statistical programming packages such as STATA.
- Demonstrated familiarity with standard statistical tests.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex datasets.
- Demonstrated ability to combine a variety of datasets into a single comprehensive dataset to be used for manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to express complex ideas simply, including ability to work with non-statisticians and clearly communicate output.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team member and exercise sound discretion and judgment.
Education And Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
Experience Required
- Familiarity with methods such as probit and logistic regression, and conditional logit is required.
- Proficiency in common statistical programming packages such as STATA.
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience.
