Overview

Linesight is seeking an Environmental Advisor for a project in Finland. In this role, you will work with highly experienced, culturally diverse, and passionate teams. You will quickly gain industry experience with real responsibilities and a clear career progression path.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing Finnish environmental legislation, managing permits and licenses, conducting site inspections and risk assessments, and delivering environmental training. You will work closely with construction, safety, and project management teams, liaise with local authorities, and lead investigations into environmental incidents while ensuring corrective actions are in place.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with Finnish environmental legislation and permits.
• Manage environmental permits, licenses, and approvals.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Deliver toolbox talks and environmental training sessions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on environmental risks and mitigation.

Qualifications

A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years in a senior role with at least 3 years in the construction sector, strong knowledge of Finnish legislation, and robust liaison skills with governmental bodies. Excellent English communication is required; Finnish language is a strong advantage. Must have the right to work in Finland.
