Job Overview

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a skilled Mobile Building Engineer to provide technical and mechanical support across assigned properties. The position focuses on operations and maintenance to achieve energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliable building services for tenants.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with EPA, OSHA & ASHRAE rules and safety guidelines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire control, and building management systems.
  • Conduct monthly maintenance inspections and site inspections including roofs, mechanical and electrical rooms.
  • Troubleshoot and repair systems such as HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and minor electrical issues.
  • Communicate effectively with facility managers, tenants, vendors, employees, and visitors.
  • Recommend equipment upgrades and facility improvements.
  • Travel locally between assigned properties daily.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance and manage inventory of tools and equipment.
  • Assist in construction project coordination and natural disaster recovery efforts.
  • Utilize mobile devices or laptops to access work order systems and emails.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Desired Competencies, Experience and Skills

Applicants should have training and certification in HVAC or operating engineer technologies, along with a minimum of 2 years in the field or equivalent technical training. Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, NFC codes and basic computer skills for operating Building Automation Systems are essential.

Essential Functions

  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Capable of working from heights and climbing 28 ft. ladders routinely.
  • Must be able to read and write English for technical manuals and instructions.

Work Arrangement & Additional Information

This role requires on-site work at portfolio properties; it is not a hybrid or remote position. All offers are contingent on background check and proof of work eligibility in the United States.
