About the Role

Lincoln Financial is seeking a team-oriented security engineering professional for the Sr Analyst, Cyber Security Engineering position. This role is primarily focused on the implementation, maintenance, and administration of a portfolio of security tools utilized within Lincoln Financial for the detection, prevention, and response to security events, contributing to overall security risk reduction. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with other Lincoln security and infrastructure teams to maintain and optimize tools in line with security requirements and business objectives.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Responsible for the technical aspects of vulnerability management processes, including network and host scanning, vulnerability escalation, and reporting.
  • Serve as the technical lead for prioritizing, communicating, and partnering with other teams to manage risk effectively.
  • Manage Lincoln's application security testing infrastructure health and availability.
  • Collaborate with other Lincoln security teams on configuration best practices, platform integration, and necessary upgrades.
  • Identify system misconfigurations and provide expertise to correct these configurations.
  • Maintain the availability of key security technologies, including vulnerability scanners and the application security testing platform, with a focus on system health, upgrades, logs, and policies.
  • Partner with project teams to ensure that control techniques are seamlessly incorporated into the overall security model for operating systems, applications, database management, and network management.
  • Provide clear and concise documentation of technical solutions and communicate plans to both management and customers.
  • Assess and assist in the development of security requirements and evaluate new security services and technologies.
  • Create scripts and/or other techniques to automate and expedite security tasks.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new or improved information security software and tools.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of Information Security / Infrastructure Protection experience that directly aligns with the responsibilities of this position.
  • A Four-Year undergraduate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • An Agile Mindset; with awareness and understanding of Agile methodologies and familiarity with static and dynamic application security testing concepts and tools.
  • A strong background and understanding of vulnerability management processes.
  • Experience with vulnerability management platforms (e.g., Qualys, Rapid7, etc.).
  • Knowledge of and experience with diverse IT technologies, enterprise IT data centers, and cloud computing environments.
  • Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs), automation, and scripting (e.g., Python, Powershell, etc.).
  • Experience with at least one major Cloud Service Provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
