What We're Looking For

We’re looking for a Frontend Developer with 2+ years of non-internship experience to help us build fast, reliable, and delightful interfaces for our GenAI products. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to turn complex conversational and analytics workflows into clean, usable experiences. You should be comfortable owning features end-to-end on the frontend, have strong fundamentals in JavaScript and the browser, and enjoy working in a fast-paced startup environment. If you like building things users touch every day, care about polish and performance, and want your work to ship quickly and often, this role will fit you well.

Responsibilities

• Build core product interfaces: Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and reusable React components and pages for our web applications.
• Ship features end-to-end on the frontend: Take ownership of UI stories from spec → implementation → review → rollout.
• Integrate with APIs: Work closely with Backend Engineers to consume REST/GraphQL APIs, handle edge cases, and keep the UI resilient when things fail.
• Manage State Cleanly: Implement and maintain predictable state management (e.g. Redux/other patterns) for complex flows and data-heavy views.
• Maintain performance & quality: Optimize bundle sizes, loading times, and rendering performance; fix layout, responsiveness, and browser issues.
• Write tests that matter: Use Jest and React Testing Library to cover critical components and flows, and keep regressions low.
• Collaborate with design: Work with Designers in tools like Figma to translate layouts into pixel-perfect, responsive implementations; suggest UX improvements when needed.
• Uphold Frontend Best Practices: Participate in code reviews, propose improvements to our frontend architecture, and help evolve our design system and UI patterns.

Must-haves

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in frontend engineering (excluding internships).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), including DOM manipulation and core browser concepts.
• Solid experience with React and modern React patterns (Hooks, functional components, composition).
• Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and layout techniques (Flexbox, Grid); ability to build responsive UIs.
• Experience with state management (Redux or similar) in production apps.
• Comfortable working with REST APIs and handling loading, error, and empty states gracefully.
• Experience with frontend tooling such as bundlers/build tools (Vite, Webpack, etc.) and package managers (npm, yarn).
• Exposure to testing using Jest and React Testing Library (or similar).
• Familiarity with Git and common workflows (branches, PRs, reviews).
• High ownership mindset, attention to detail, and comfort working in a fast-paced startup.

Nice-to-have

• Experience working with design systems or component libraries.
• Understanding of performance optimization in React (memoisation, code-splitting, lazy loading, etc.).
• Familiarity with SASS or other CSS Preprocessors.
• Experience with Authentication Flows (OAuth, SSO) and providers like Auth0.
• Exposure to frontend CI/CD pipelines and deployment.
• Familiarity with error monitoring / analytics tools like LogRocket, Sentry, Mixpanel, or similar.
• Basic understanding of how the backend works (APIs, data models) and comfort reading API docs or using Postman.
