This position is based out of our Berlin, Germany office and offers a hybrid work arrangement. There is also an opportunity to work from the Washington D.C. metropolitan area initially as fully remote transitioning to hybrid when offices open. Employment requires authorization to work in the US and/or Germany.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop production-grade OCR and ASR systems.
  • Build robust pipelines for poor-quality audio and multi-speaker scenarios.
  • Collaborate with research scientists, product engineers, and linguists.
  • Fine-tune and post-train models for domain-specific accuracy improvements.
  • Implement speaker identification, separation, and noise detection solutions.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong proficiency in Python with experience in PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Hands-on experience with ASR/OCR toolkits such as Kaldi, Vosk, Whisper, and Tesseract.
  • Deep understanding of speech signal processing and noise-robust ASR techniques.
  • Experience in deploying production-grade ML systems at scale.
  • Background in computational linguistics or speech technology is a plus.

US Benefits

Competitive market salary, meaningful equity, 401(k) matching, flexible time off, comprehensive medical benefits (including dental and vision insurance), paid parental leave after 6 months, and monthly lifestyle benefit stipend.
