We’re looking for…
A motivated, hands-on Engineering Manager to lead and empower our product engineering teams. This role is crucial in advancing our mission to elevate early childhood programs through technical innovation. As an Engineering Manager at Lillio, you will bridge high-level product strategy with technical execution, and you are expected to be hands-on when necessary. You possess a keen product sense, ensuring that customer needs remain at the forefront of all our solutions.

At Lillio, our Product & Engineering teams operate as a tight-knit unit. Through strong product creation methodologies and close collaboration, we conceptualize and build impactful products that immediately benefit millions of educators, parents, and young children.
The engineering team comprises full stack web engineers and multi-platform mobile experts. Every team member has a significant opportunity to contribute to the growth of Lillio’s product offering, impacting a wide and varied feature set, as well as influencing how Lillio builds and delivers its products. Our team strives for excellence across feature enhancements, ground-up engineering on new architecture, data scaling, and system performance. - Take a leadership role in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding, maintaining our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Collaborate across teams to design, build, and ship exceptional user experiences.
- Demonstrate a passion for staying current with industry trends, experimenting with new technologies, and participating in technical communities.
- Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, creative thinking, teamwork, and self-organization.

Required Technical Skills
- 3+ years experience leading/managing software development teams.
- Strong technical background, enabling engagement in and guidance of technical discussions, with hands-on capability when needed.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for partnering with Product, Design, and other stakeholder teams.
- Proven ability to align roadmap with business objectives.
Nice To Have
- Experience with SOC2 Controls and Implementation.
- Experience with AWS, Postgres, Heroku.
- Familiarity with observability tools.

Compensation & Benefits
This position offers an annual salary ranging from $130,000 to $180,000. It is also eligible to participate in the company Stock Option Plan.
