Systems Engineer Opportunity at LightFeather IO LLC

LightFeather is seeking a System Administrator to support a federal client in managing a secure, high-performance IT infrastructure. This role involves server and network administration, database maintenance, system security, and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments.
  • Manage Active Directory accounts, permissions, and group policies.
  • Monitor network components, servers, and storage systems.
  • Support SQL Server operations including backups and performance optimization.
  • Configure and maintain Microsoft IIS and SMTP services.
  • Implement security measures including encryption and vulnerability remediation.
  • Manage backup operations with NAS and AWS GovCloud.
  • Provide Tier II/III technical support and maintain documentation.

Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship, ability to obtain Public Trust clearance, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong technical expertise in system administration for Windows Server environments.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with federal IT compliance standards, AWS GovCloud, VMware or Hyper-V, network monitoring tools, and relevant industry certifications.
