About the Senior Security Engineer Role
This role focuses on establishing secure software development standards and integrating security into the development process. The Senior Security Engineer will perform security assessments, collaborate cross-functionally, triage and resolve threat events, and develop automation to mitigate active security threats.
Responsibilities
- Establish secure software development standards.
- Create frictionless paths for secure build and deployment.
- Perform security assessments ensuring compliance with best practices.
- Partner with stakeholders to foster a security-minded culture.
- Assess vendor security controls and manage threat events.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and implement remediations.
- Develop tooling and automation for threat detection and mitigation.
Requirements
- 5+ years in security or software engineering.
- Experience with multiple programming languages (Go, Python, Clojure, JavaScript).
- Strong application security and cloud infrastructure scaling skills.
- Experience with cross-functional team collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills.
