Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Canadians? As a Virtual Occupational Therapist with Lifemark Health Group in New Brunswick, your work makes a real difference by expanding access to care and creating lasting impact in the communities you serve.

Your Impact

Our Occupational Therapists provide both individual and program-based treatments and assessments for individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries. You will also play a pivotal role in supporting veterans, Canadian Armed Forces members, first responders, and individuals facing physical, cognitive, and mental wellness goals. In this role, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services to clients virtually.
  • Apply clinical expertise in assessment, intervention, consultation, case management, discharge planning, education, and follow-up.
  • Perform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, and specialized seating and positioning assessments.
  • Identify appropriate equipment needs and initiate recommendations.
  • Consult with local vendors and complete funding applications/letters to relevant parties.
  • Provide education on seating and positioning, ADL independence, wheelchairs, adaptive aides, and ongoing education to clients and family.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation for restraint use, wound prevention, falls, and injury prevention.
  • Accurately record assessment and treatment interventions in client charts.
  • Excel in a collaborative, inter-disciplinary team environment.
  • Exhibit sound professional judgment.

Are You The Right Fit?

As part of one of the largest networks of OTs in the nation, you will work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, delivering high-quality, client-centered care. Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities, and scope of practice.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists in your province.
  • 1-3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist is preferred; newly licensed graduates are accepted.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle may be required in some instances.
  • Valid Vulnerable Sector screening check and Proof of Tuberculin clearance (within 6 months) may be required.

Additional requirements:

  • Clinical experience is an asset in areas such as brain injury/neurological rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics, and/or return to work.
  • Passion for your profession and commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, time management, computer, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset.
