Job Description

About Life360

Life360's mission is to keep people close to the ones they love. Our category-leading mobile app, Tile tracking devices, and Pet GPS tracker empower members to protect the people, pets, and things they care about most with a range of services, including location sharing, safe driver reports, and crash detection with emergency dispatch. Life360 serves approximately 91.6 million monthly active users (MAU), as of September 30, 2025, across more than 180 countries.

Life360 delivers peace of mind and enhances everyday family life with seamless coordination for all the moments that matter, big and small. By continuing to innovate and deliver for our customers, we have become a household name and the must-have mobile-based membership for families (and those friends who are basically family).

Life360 has more than 500 (and growing!) remote-first employees. For more information, please visit life360.com.

Life360 is a Remote First company, which means a remote work environment will be the primary experience for all employees. All positions, unless otherwise specified, can be performed remotely (within the US and Canada) regardless of any specified location above.

About The Team

The Revenue Org at Life360 focuses on three important pillars of our product's success: revenue growth opportunities, our new ads business, and globalization of Life360. We leverage rapid experimentation and cutting-edge technologies to continually increase Life360's value proposition to our members.

Our teams own critical member-facing features such as authentication, onboarding, SOS, crash detection, and roadside assistance features, the latter of which help protect millions of families every day.

You will actively contribute and help lead the newly formed AI Growth Enablement team which sits at the intersection of Product, Data Science, and Engineering. Our charter is to unlock step-function growth in users, subscribers, and revenue by building shared AI/ML capabilities — including but not limited to experimentation and automation tools, generative AI models, predictive-model APIs, and self-serve tooling—that accelerate decision-making, experimentation and automation across multiple product teams. You'll partner closely with Data Scientists and other Cloud engineers in the Growth organization, as well as Data Analysis teams and mobile engineers, to turn data and models into delightful, effective experiences at scale, and to empower each team to leverage AI/ML in the most effective way to drive user and revenue growth.

Our teams are motivated by impact, thrive when empowered with high agency, are always curious, and build with engineering excellence as a first principle.

About The Job

Life360's ambitious goals are to hit $1 billion in revenue and 150M monthly active users by 2028. To achieve these goals, we are laser-focused on our hypothesis-driven experimentation approach to feature development. We build mobile experiences by testing first, iterating, then rolling out incrementally, all while measuring impact along the way.

This Senior Android Engineer, Growth role combines deep product engineering leadership with an experimentation and global-first mindset. You'll design and build foundational in-app experiences that deepen engagement and expand Life360's utility and safety aspects for every member. This role is a good fit for anyone who wants to showcase their leadership skills and learn how to lead a team.

Your technical and organizational leadership will directly shape how families interact with the app worldwide and help Life360 grow to be the #1 brand that improves everyday family life.

What You’ll Do

  • Leadership over the development of core application experiences that increase the utility and emotional resonance of Life360 for millions of members.
  • Interest in leading scrum meetings, helping EM & PM with roadmap planning, and writing code alongside other Android engineers.
  • Collaborate with Design and Product to evolve how members move through and experience the app, from onboarding to daily use, ensuring fast, intuitive, and delightful interaction patterns.
  • Design and develop reusable, high-performance components and tools that unlock faster experimentation, iteration, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Champion engineering excellence, app performance, quality, and reliability, particularly in the context of complex, global, location and safety-focused mobile applications.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience building consumer-facing Android applications at scale, ideally for high-MAU products.
  • Deep expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development (Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Architecture Components).
  • Track record of building and leading complex UI systems with a focus on performance, modularity, scalability, and accessibility.
  • Hands-on implementation using feature flagging, experimentation and launch control platforms for safely scaling feature changes.
  • Strong understanding of app architecture, lifecycle management, dependency injection, and navigation paradigms.
  • Test automation experience using frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and Espresso.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. History of driving fast pace projects to completion on time.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience.

Bonus

  • Experience supporting growth experimentation initiatives.
  • Experience with Google billing and subscription system.
  • AI-powered developer productivity tools experience (beyond ChatGPT).

Our Benefits

  • Competitive pay and benefits.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans (100% paid for employees).
  • 401(k) plan with company matching program in the US and RRSP with DPSP plan for Canadian employees.
  • Mental Wellness Program & Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental well being.
  • Flexible PTO, 13 company wide days off throughout the year.
  • Winter and Summer Week-long Synchronized Company Shutdowns.
  • Learning & Development programs.
  • Equipment, tools, and reimbursement support for a productive remote environment.
  • Free Life360 Platinum Membership for your preferred circle.
  • Free Tile Products.
