About Life Scientific

Life Scientific is a global crop science company transforming the crop protection industry. Operating within a $250 billion market, we specialise in reverse-engineering and developing high-quality, off-patent crop protection products - bringing them to market efficiently through deep scientific expertise, disciplined regulatory strategy, and strong commercial execution. As we expand our North American footprint, regulatory excellence is central to our growth.

The Role

We are seeking a Canada-based Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist to lead regulatory strategy and execution across our Canadian portfolio. This is a senior, hands-on role requiring deep PMRA expertise, strong technical judgement, and the ability to operate confidently within the Canadian regulatory ecosystem. You will act as Life Scientific’s primary regulatory interface with PMRA and play a critical role in aligning regulatory strategy with commercial objectives from early development through launch and renewal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Strategy & PMRA Engagement
    • Act as primary regulatory contact with PMRA, building strong and credible relationships
    • Define and execute regulatory strategies for new registrations, amendments, and complex submissions (including Category B)
    • Lead responses to PMRA queries and deficiency letters
    • Provide regulatory leadership in NPI and cross-functional forums
  • Dossier Leadership & Technical Oversight
    • Lead preparation and submission of Canadian regulatory dossiers
    • Ensure scientific robustness and strategic positioning of submissions
    • Coordinate internal SMEs and manage external CROs/consultants
    • Maintain oversight of regulatory commitments throughout the product lifecycle
  • Lifecycle Management & Regulatory Intelligence
    • Own renewals, amendments, re-evaluations, and data protection considerations
    • Maintain forward-looking visibility of upcoming renewals and evolving PMRA requirements
    • Proactively assess regulatory risks and support commercial planning
  • Commercial & External Collaboration
    • Translate regulatory requirements into clear business implications
    • Support launch readiness and market expansion plans
    • Build strong relationships across industry and regulatory networks

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in a scientific discipline (chemistry, biology, toxicology, agronomy or related)
  • Significant regulatory affairs experience in crop protection with direct PMRA exposure
  • Experience with complex or non-standard submissions
  • Strong understanding of Canadian regulatory and market dynamics

Leadership Profile

You bring:

  • Deep PMRA authority and sound regulatory judgement
