About the role
Online Adjunct Professor - Business Analytics
Liberty University is seeking Adjunct Faculty Members for its School of Business to teach Business Analytics courses. As an adjunct, you will play a vital role in the university's mission of Training Champions for Christ. This involves modeling a personal commitment to the goals and values of Liberty University, engaging in spiritual formation within a Christian worldview, and viewing teaching and scholarship as a means to educational ends. You will strive to create effective learning conditions, acknowledging and accommodating individual student differences, abilities, and interests.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses, utilizing approved curriculum and ensuring student satisfaction.
- Leverage teaching moments through weekly announcements and emails.
- Perform administrative tasks such as roster verification, reporting, and timely grade submission.
- Assist students in achieving learning outcomes and objectives.
- Provide regular and timely feedback to students.
- Participate in school retention initiatives by maintaining contact with students and assisting absent students.
- Advise students on academic, attendance, and behavioral matters.
- Maintain and report student grades and attendance in accordance with university policies.
- Adhere strictly to Liberty University policies and represent the University exemplarily.
- Work effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Credentials, And Competencies
- Master’s or terminal degree in Data Science.
- For baccalaureate level teaching: a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Data Science or a related field (Data Analytics, Business Analytics).
