Job Description
About the Role
Adjunct instructors are vital to Liberty University’s mission of Training Champions for Christ. This role involves teaching assigned courses, engaging students, and contributing to a Christian worldview in education. Adjuncts are expected to model commitment to Liberty University's goals and values, and personal spiritual formation.
Responsibilities
- Teach course material from approved curriculum in alignment with assigned schedules.
- Utilize weekly announcements and emails to engage students and seize teaching opportunities.
- Provide regular and timely feedback to students to aid in their academic progress.
- Participate in school retention initiatives by maintaining contact with students and assisting absent students.
- Advise students on academic matters, attendance, and behavior.
- Maintain and report student grades and attendance according to university policies.
- Adhere strictly to Liberty University policies and represent the University exemplarily.
- Collaborate effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
- Perform administrative tasks as directed by instructional mentors, coordinators, and department administrators.
Qualifications
- Master's or terminal degree in Human Resources required for baccalaureate level teaching.
- Minimum of 18 graduate hours in Human Resources for baccalaureate level, with experience desired.
- Conferred terminal degree in Human Resources required for Master’s or Doctoral level teaching.
- Relevant certifications are considered.
- Commitment to the evangelical standards and mission of Liberty University.
