Job Overview
Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Specialist to join their West Region Claims Team. In this role, you will review, analyze, and process moderately complex to complex claims using the latest technology.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Investigating claims by interviewing insureds, witnesses, and claimants.
- Evaluating policy coverage, determining liability, and assessing damages.
- Negotiating settlements and coordinating litigation activities.
- Mentoring and training team members and assisting the Claims Team Manager.
- Participating in quality review processes and various claim committees.
Qualifications
Requirements include a BS/BA degree or equivalent experience, minimum 2 years in claims adjustment or insurance, applicable licenses, and knowledge in claims investigation techniques, medical terminology, and legal aspects of claims. Continuing education towards certifications such as AEI, IIA, or CPCU is preferred.
Training & Work Arrangement
Comprehensive training is provided, including a mandatory one-week, in-person session at the Plano, TX office. The role is primarily remote with location-based exceptions requiring onsite work for individuals within 50 miles of specific offices.
