Senior Compliance Analyst at Liberty Mutual Insurance
Join Auto State Management as a Senior Compliance Analyst and take the lead on complex regulatory projects that drive strategic decisions across key states. In this role, you’ll manage compliance research, solve challenging regulatory issues, and partner with leadership to ensure the company stays ahead of evolving laws. Your work will directly influence risk mitigation, process improvements, and state-level strategies, making a real impact on the business. Under limited supervision, performs moderate to complex compliance research and regulatory analysis in order to achieve business objectives in a compliant manner in assigned states or product line. May oversee projects that require greater expertise, typically for states with higher volume and/or regulatory scrutiny.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead moderate to high complexity projects to ensure the company stays compliant with statutes and regulations. Provide clear measures of success, ensure stakeholders are informed and deadlines are met.
- Be an expert and answer compliance related inquiries for your assigned states and/or areas of expertise.
- For complex regulatory states, conduct and document research for countrywide program rollouts.
- Use various resources to conduct compliance research, to compile information, to assess whether current approaches are compliant and to document learnings.
- Assist in developing the handling strategy for escalated items and various regulator interactions.
- Monitor proposed and enacted legislation and regulation, identify business impacts and work with stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcome for the company.
- Drives risk mitigation through the support of issues management and promotion of controls.
- Identify and execute process improvement opportunities.
- If the need arises, lead, mentor and assist new personnel to the Department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor`s degree in a quantitative subject (example: Mathematics, Finance, Economics) or Legal/Political Science/Insurance and experience with quantitative analysis preferred.
- 3 to 5 years related work experience preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance principles and concepts required.
- Advanced analytical/problem solving and research skills.
- Effective communication skills for writing reports/proposals and making presentations.
- Ability to work independently and lead others during projects is a must.
