Director, AI Transformation

About the Role

The Director, AI Transformation at Liberty Mutual Insurance is a core leadership role within the People, Purpose, & Brand (PP&B) team. It focuses on shaping and driving AI-enabled transformation across PP&B by translating ambitious AI strategies into tangible outcomes.

Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Transformation Roadmap:

• Translate PP&B AI transformation priorities into a clear roadmap.
• Develop repeatable business case frameworks and success metrics.
• Monitor AI trends and assess applicable tools and capabilities.

Execution & Delivery:

• Drive programs from ideation through pilot and scale.
• Lead complex, cross-functional AI initiatives within PP&B.
• Embed GenAI and agentic capabilities into workflows and models.

Stakeholder Partnership & Enablement:

• Advise PP&B leadership on AI priorities, progress, and risks.
• Facilitate decision-making forums and investment prioritization.
• Leverage pilots and proofs of concept to foster continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years (Assistant Director) or 10+ years (Transformation Lead) in strategy, transformation, consulting, or technology.
• Proven track record in leading enterprise-scale transformation initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Working knowledge of emerging AI and GenAI capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
