Key Responsibilities
- Work independently and collaboratively on a variety of cybersecurity audit projects.
- Conduct interviews with personnel to gather information for audits.
- Perform comprehensive testwork on internal control systems.
- Analyze results from testwork to identify vulnerabilities and issues.
- Effectively communicate audit findings and issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop a broad knowledge base in cybersecurity principles and their application within the insurance industry.
Qualifications
To succeed as a Cybersecurity Co-op, you should possess:
- 0-2 years of professional experience, indicating an early career stage.
- Active pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or an equivalent major.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong detail-orientation and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of:
- Cyber security principles and practices, strategies, and methodologies.
- Network security engineering and administration concepts.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes, tools, testing frameworks, and practices.
- Cloud networking concepts and network security controls.
- Exposure to scripting automation and analytics using Python.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or other public cloud environments.
- Availability to work full-time from July to December 2026.
- Permanent work authorization in the United States.
