About the Role: WebMethods Middleware Platform Engineer
As a Middleware WebMethods Platform Engineer, you will be the go-to subject matter expert for the WebMethods Integration Server/Broker production support platform. You will act as the administrator for WebMethods IS/Broker and collaborate with product development teams globally to support and enhance the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide production support for the WebMethods Integration Server/Broker platform across all environments.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), offering technical guidance on coding and configuration to development teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and non-production issues as part of daily operational support.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement fixes and patches for WebMethods products.
- Manage the WebMethods lifecycle, ensuring stable and supported versions through upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Support other IT middleware solutions, including messaging technologies like Kafka and MQ.
- Collaborate with architecture and development teams to define strategies for WebMethods and enterprise messaging solutions.
Technical Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Middleware Platform Engineer with WebMethods.
- Proven experience with Red Hat Linux operating systems.
- 2+ years supporting developers using WebMethods solutions.
- Strong knowledge of messaging standards and tools, especially JMS.
- 2+ years of experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases.
- Good Java and/or Linux shell scripting skills.
- Experience using and supporting CrossVista.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Kafka, HTML, MQ Series, and file transfer solutions.
- Understanding of WebMethods licensing models.
- Experience with code repository platforms like Bitbucket or GitLab.
- Familiarity with financial services, clearing, and risk management domains.
- Relevant university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
