You will help shape a world-class platform organization that accelerates product delivery across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • Lead the evolution of modern engineering toolchains and practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, code review, observability, and infrastructure automation.
  • Integrate generative/agentic AI to improve developer productivity, incident response, and software quality.
  • Architect, develop, and mentor teams to build extensible, maintainable, and reusable platform components, frameworks, and shared services for an AI-powered future.
  • Define and champion platform standards for reliability, scalability, reusability, simplicity, security, and responsible AI and data-privacy practices.
  • Establish best practices for coding, integration, validation, and quality metrics, driving consistency and maintainability across teams.
  • Lead adoption of domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and modular platform patterns.
  • Provide expert architectural guidance for complex engineering challenges, ensuring interoperable, domain-based, and scalable platform architecture.
  • Champion engineering excellence through agile leadership, DevSecOps practices, platform-as-a-product principles, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Stay ahead of platform, cloud, and AI/ML industry trends; lead experimentation and thoughtful adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Partner across Engineering, Security, Production Support, Product Management, UX, and Commercial teams to align platform capabilities with enterprise needs.
  • Influence stakeholders, drive platform adoption, and improve developer experience to accelerate product delivery.
  • Foster a product-led, customer-centric culture rooted in reliability, scalability, and intuitive platform capabilities.
  • Mentor and grow engineering talent, support hiring efforts, and cultivate expertise in platform engineering, AI, modern development practices and distributed systems.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly across audiences-building excitement and alignment around platform modernization and AI enablement.

About You

  • 12+ years of experience in product, software, and/or platform engineering roles, with a strong focus on platform architecture, cloud technologies (GCP, Azure), distributed systems, and modern engineering toolchains.
  • At least 4 years of experience focused on AI/ML, with deep expertise in generative and agentic AI and their application to modern engineering workflows.
  • Unwavering customer-focused ethos, placing internal developers, platform customers and end consumers at the core of all decisions.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional engineering initiatives and working with geographically distributed teams across time zones.
  • Mastery of modern SDLC practices, agile methodologies, CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, and the broader DevOps movement, with demonstrated improvements to delivery performance.
  • Demonstrable ability to drive architectural and operational decisions.
