Based in Brussels, our team operates at the heart of the European Institutions ecosystem, supporting high-impact initiatives in close coordination with our engineering and delivery teams across Europe. To strengthen our local capabilities, we are looking for a Cybersecurity Pre-Sales Engineer who will act as the technical bridge between business development and delivery, supporting complex bids and engaging directly with institutional clients.

Job Overview

We are looking for a cybersecurity generalist with pre-sales experience, capable of engaging clients, understanding complex technical environments, and translating needs into structured technical solutions for bids and proposals. The position is primarily technical, with a strong customer-facing component (approx. 60% technical / 40% client interaction), and is not suited for purely commercial profiles or highly specialized engineers with limited exposure to client interaction. As a Cybersecurity Pre-Sales Engineer, you will support the full pre-sales lifecycle, from understanding customer needs to designing high-level solution approaches and contributing to competitive bids and proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical point of reference during client engagements, supporting Business Development in real time to best position our cybersecurity solutions.
  • Conduct technical presentations, demos, workshops, co-design sessions and in-depth analysis with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Manage technical interactions with EU institutions, NATO, and Space stakeholders.
  • Gather and analyse customer requirements and operational scenarios, translating them into structured, realistic, and competitive technical proposals.
  • Participate in responses to RFIs, RFQs, and public tenders, contributing to and shaping the technical sections of proposals.
  • Design high-level solution architectures and technical approaches across cybersecurity domains.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Delivery, and Architecture teams to shape solutions and offers.
  • Monitor market trends and contribute to the evolution of the Cyber & Security portfolio.

Required Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in a Pre-Sales Engineer, Proposal Engineer, Technical Account Manager or similar technical-commercial role, with exposure to international customers in technological domains.
  • Background in Cybersecurity architectures, Zero Trust, IAM, or security infrastructure solutions.
  • Experience contributing to technical proposals, bids/tender responses, or similar.
