Role Overview - Radar Systems Engineer
This role supports the development, maintenance, and operation of control, data-acquisition, and data-processing software for advanced phased array radars. You will work across hardware and software, from concept to deployment and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain radar control and acquisition software.
- Analyze I/Q data and troubleshoot complex radar algorithms.
- Contribute to radar lifecycle from concept through deployment.
- Perform root cause analysis and support performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate hardware and software systems.
Required Skills & Experience
- End-to-end signal processing knowledge including transmit/receive chains and I/Q data handling.
- Strong proficiency in Python for prototyping and diagnostics.
- Experience with RF systems, phased array fundamentals, and antenna beamforming.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or related field with relevant experience, or an advanced degree with applied research.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Exposure to multiple radar architectures and waveform design tradeoffs.
- Experience with software deployment in production/real-time environments.
- Understanding of radar calibration, detection theory, and performance reasoning.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and high-performance computing is a plus.
