Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties

As a Temporary Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately inputting and managing patient and administrative information within electronic systems. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of medical records and other documentation that supports clinical and operational workflows.

  • Enter and update data into internal databases, spreadsheets and content management systems.
  • Review data for accuracy, completeness and consistency, managing corrections as needed.
  • Maintain organized digital records and ensure data is stored securely and in compliance with HIPAA, KGS and agency guidance.
  • Key duties involve transcribing data from various sources, verifying its accuracy, correcting errors, managing digital records, and sometimes generating reports, requiring strong attention to detail, fast typing, and organizational skills.
  • Enters patient information into the computer system in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepares various reports as requested by management.
  • Communicates effectively with team and vendors.

Skills And Qualifications Needed

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding medical information
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong verbal, written and typing skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel)
  • Ability to work in a high-paced, high-volume data entry environment
