Role

The Summer 2026 Cyber Security Intern will gain hands-on experience in critical cybersecurity areas. Interns can work in one of two tracks:

  • Security Software Engineering: Work on assessments, automation, back-end systems, encryption, and Red Team activities.
  • Security Analyst: Engage in compliance, forensics, incident handling, threat intelligence, and third-party security.

  • Awareness of core cybersecurity concepts and common vulnerabilities.
  • A strong desire to learn and grow in a technical environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • For Security Software Engineering: Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming using Java, Python, C#, or C++.
  • For Security Analyst: Experience with risk analysis, cyber forensics, security compliance frameworks, and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) plus Git.
  • Participation in CTF competitions, personal security projects, or open-source contributions is a plus.
  • Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) programs and tools.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field with a graduation date at least 4 months post-internship.
  • Legal authorization to work full-time in the US during the internship duration.
  • Ability to work onsite at an Intuit location (Mountain View, San Diego, New York, or Atlanta) for a minimum of 3 days per week.

How You Will Lead

  • Contribute to building secure software and infrastructure while applying best practices.
  • Assist in identifying and fixing security flaws in applications, systems, and networks.
  • Develop scripts and tools (e.g., Python, Bash) to streamline security operations.
  • Gain exposure to cybersecurity tools including vulnerability scanners and SIEM platforms.
  • Investigate emerging threats and document security procedures.

Compensation

The pay range for this internship is $37.00 - $67.30 USD per hour, based on education and location.
