About the Role
An employer is seeking a Strategic IT Sourcing Manager to join their team remotely, operating within Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours. This pivotal role involves developing and executing comprehensive sourcing strategies across IT and labor categories, with a strong focus on optimizing supplier performance and achieving significant cost efficiencies. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and meticulous category planning within a dynamic, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for various IT categories, including hardware, software, SaaS, and infrastructure.
- Oversee labor categories such as consulting, contingent workforce, and professional services.
- Develop and meticulously manage category strategies, encompassing thorough spend analysis, robust supplier segmentation, and proactive risk mitigation.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across IT, HR, Finance, Legal, and Operations to ensure procurement goals are seamlessly aligned with broader business needs.
- Negotiate and manage contracts and supplier relationships to uphold service quality, ensure compliance, and drive cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor supplier performance against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize Power BI and other dashboard tools for comprehensive procurement data analysis, performance tracking, and to generate actionable insights for strategic sourcing decisions.
- Stay abreast of market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting IT and labor sourcing.
Compensation
Compensation for this role ranges from $40-60 per hour, with actual compensation potentially varying based on factors such as skills, experience, and education.
