Key Responsibilities for a Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner - Cyber
- Consult with various clients, HR Business Partners, and other HR functions (people analytics, recruiting, compensation, tech talent, AR, diversity & inclusion) to effectively implement people strategies, HR processes, and reporting.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, manage stakeholders effectively, and understand business imperatives to deliver HR solutions aligned with business needs.
- Provide expert assistance to associates, managers, and HR partners on a range of HR-related issues.
- Coach people managers on essential leadership skills, organizational design, and performance management, utilizing Capital One’s Include/Empower/Inspire framework.
- Lead strategic consulting and workforce planning initiatives for designated client groups, ensuring the HR strategy supports broader business objectives.
- Support the execution of core HR processes including performance and talent management, leadership development, change management, and organizational design, including spans and layers analysis.
- Advise senior leaders on critical areas such as fostering inclusive and diverse teams, cultivating a culture of belonging, and acting as a trusted advisor to encourage collaboration and high performance across all associates.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- At least 5 years of client-facing experience OR at least 5 years of consulting experience OR a combination of both.
- At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
- MBA or Master’s degree.
- Professional Human Resources Certification (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification or a coaching certification.
- 7+ years of client-facing experience or 7+ years of consulting experience or a combination.
- 7+ years of experience in Human Resources, specifically within Technology HR.
