Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Write, optimize, and debug SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Support database maintenance tasks including backups, performance tuning, indexing, and monitoring.
• Assist in managing and configuring Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure services.
• Participate in data migration projects from on-premises SQL Server to Azure cloud environments.
• Collaborate on building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure tools.
• Monitor database performance and assist in troubleshooting issues.
• Document processes, queries, and configurations for team knowledge sharing.
• Engage in team meetings and learn best practices in cloud security, scalability, and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong foundational knowledge of SQL Server including T-SQL queries and basic administration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure fundamentals and basic database concepts.
• Eagerness to learn, good problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Exposure to Azure services (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse Analytics) and basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
