A global law firm with nearly 1,400 lawyers and more than 3,000 employees across 19 offices in the United States, Europe, and Asia is seeking a SQL Data Analyst to join their data team. This team is primarily responsible for resolving integration issues across various applications. The firm plans to build a data lake in the future, encompassing both internal and external data. Until then, a critical task involves troubleshooting all application integrations for any arising issues.
This is a year-long contract role with potential for extensions. While fully remote, candidates are preferred to work EST hours, starting between 8-9 AM EST. Role Responsibilities
The SQL Data Analyst will be an integral part of a three-person data team. Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to requests from various teams and departments regarding changes to existing integrations.
- Analyzing requests to identify and diagnose errors within existing integrations.
- Developing and implementing solutions to modify existing integrations and processing logic within SQL.
- Executing database schema changes, such as adding or modifying columns.
- Performing ad hoc requests, including validating new columns to ensure data correctness and integrity within the SQL database's taxonomy.
Compensation & Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges from $45/hr to $50/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on factors like location, skills, experience, and education.
Employees in this contract role will receive a comprehensive benefits package from day one, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility for the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits are provided as required by applicable law.
Skills and Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in SQL, specifically writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving issues within SQL Server environments.
- Proven experience making database schema changes, including adding/modifying columns and validating data integrity.
- A background in law firms or experience with InTapp is a plus.
