SQL Data Analyst at a Global Law Firm

A global law firm with nearly 1,400 lawyers and more than 3,000 employees across 19 offices in the United States, Europe, and Asia is looking for a SQL Data Analyst to join their data team. This team is responsible for resolving integration issues for various applications. The firm plans to build out a data lake for both internal and external data, but prior to that, all application integrations require thorough troubleshooting when issues arise. This is a year-long contract role with potential for extensions, offered remotely, though a preference for EST hours (starting between 8-9AM EST) is noted. The firm is highly regarded for its expertise in corporate law, litigation, intellectual property, life sciences, technology, and venture capital, handling transformative deals, IPOs, and complex regulatory matters. They have also received numerous workplace accolades, including being named to Fortune's Best Companies to Work For, and recognized as Best Workplaces for Women, Flexibility, Giving Back, and Parents.

Key Responsibilities

The SQL Data Analyst will join a team of three and primarily respond to requests from various internal teams and departments seeking changes to existing integrations. Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing requests to identify potential errors and their root causes.
  • Troubleshooting error occurrences within SQL environments.
  • Developing and implementing solutions to modify existing integrations and processing within SQL.
  • Managing database schema changes, such as adding new columns.
  • Handling ad hoc requests and validating data integrity, ensuring correctness of new or modified columns.

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $45/hr to $50/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on factors including location, skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will receive a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility for the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits are provided as required by applicable law.
