Lensa is promoting a position for Thermo Fisher Scientific. The role is for a Spanish Latam Language Specialist tasked with ensuring clinical translation quality assurance and managing linguistic assets.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate and manage final quality of assigned translations.
- Run and update language assets including translation memories, terminology, and style guides.
- Perform translation, revision, and implement client feedback.
- Conduct quality checks on clinical translations such as ICFs, protocols, IBs, and patient diaries.
- Develop and maintain terminology and style guides.
- Set and execute global linguistic quality assurance processes.
- Use CAT technology to monitor quality of outsourced translations.
- Analyze language quality issues and implement improvement plans.
Educational and Professional Requirements
Bachelor's degree in translations, linguistics, or language studies with significant translation studies.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Native Spanish speaker (Latin American variant).
- Experience with CAT/TMS tools.
- Proven terminology and translation memory experience.
- Strong multi-tasking, time management, organization, and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
