Senior Claims Specialist at CRC Group
Lensa is promoting this Senior Claims Specialist position for CRC Insurance Services, Inc., offering an exciting opportunity to lead claims processing and management. This role requires an individual with strong analytical capabilities, leadership acumen, and extensive knowledge of insurance processes to ensure accurate and timely claim resolution.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervise a multi-person team, ensuring all pertinent information is effectively communicated.
- Evaluate claims, reporting forms, and cancellations, initiating necessary corrections for accuracy in dates, coverage, signatures, commissions, premiums, and attachments.
- Authenticate all relevant activity on assigned files and provide recommendations for additional actions as appropriate.
- Determine the correct reporting channels for new loss claims.
- Manage all claim documentation meticulously.
- Use discretion to submit necessary information and/or correspondence to the Agent or Insurer for appropriate claims processing.
- Analyze claim coverage with insurance carriers to ensure accurate claim payments.
- Assess eligibility status for denied claims.
- Anticipate and meet all customer needs, both internal and external.
- Maintain claims and suspense systems, ensuring timely follow-up for receipt of policies, endorsements, inspection reports, correspondence, and claims from external sources.
- Process all departmental claims efficiently and in accordance with company policy.
- Facilitate the training of new employees within the department.
- Provide supervision and guidance to Claims Assistants.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in business or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Three years of claims handling experience combined with commercial and multi-line insurance knowledge.
- Ability to critically review claim files for relevant information, accurately assess details, and make necessary recommendations.
- Capability to make independent decisions adhering to CRC guidelines with minimal or no supervision.
- Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
- Extensive knowledge of insurance principles and CRC processes.
- Ability to maintain a high level of tact and professionalism.
- Good leadership skills to positively influence all departmental employees.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer and office applications.
- Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior adjusting experience.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary for this Senior Claims Specialist position ranges from $120,000.00 to $140,000.00.
