About the Role
The Senior Claims Specialist at CRC Group, promoted through Lensa, is responsible for analyzing and processing claims by gathering information, drawing conclusions, and ensuring accurate claims processing. The role acts as a liaison between insured and insurance carrier, manages claims documentation, and provides leadership to the claims department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising a multi-person team and ensuring effective communication.
- Evaluating claims, reporting forms, and cancellations with accuracy.
- Authenticating activity on assigned files and recommending further actions.
- Managing documentation and facilitating claim reporting to the Agent or Insurer.
- Analyzing claim coverage for accurate payment and assessing eligibility for denied claims.
- Maintaining claims and suspense systems for follow-up on important documents.
- Facilitating training for new employees and supervising Claims Assistants.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), three years of claims handling experience with commercial/multi-line knowledge, strong organizational and leadership skills, excellent communication, and proficiency in computer skills. Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
Preferred: Adjusting experience.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual base salary is between $120,000 and $140,000. Eligible full-time teammates can access medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurances, 401(k) plans with company match, paid time off, and other supportive benefits including potential stock units or deferred compensation plans.
