Trane Technologies is seeking a Remote Support Specialist to join their team. This role is primarily focused on providing remote support, troubleshooting, upgrades, and investigation of Trane Digital Systems. You will be responsible for the continuing support of commissioning, programming, updating graphics, communications, end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and servicing of digital agreement clients. Your duties will include documenting digital analytics, sequence of operations validation, and associated support functions. You will represent the company by servicing products and equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction by remotely identifying and resolving equipment and systems related issues. This involves coordinating with team leaders and customers, examining building layouts, forecasting issues, gathering analytics, and synchronizing with any required on-site work. You will stay current on Trane products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems. Maintaining safety to the highest standards and ensuring accountability for company assets are crucial. This role requires flexibility for overtime and weekends, with occasional overnight stays. Most workdays will be dispatched from your house.

What You Will Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school.
• Typically requires at least 7 years of experience in HVAC/Controls.
• Technical School or formal training is preferred.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with hand-held computers (e.g., Smartphone, iPad).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Previous experience with DDC controls systems preferred.

Additional Requirements And Environmental Exposure

• Must be able to safely and legally operate a vehicle.
• Must be able to wear helmets, safety goggles, fall protection harness, and safety boots.
• Physical requirements include the ability to twist the trunk, squat, reach overhead, and stand on concrete for extended periods.
• This position is highly physical, requiring regular use of hands, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
• Must be able to lift and move significant weight (up to 40 lbs. frequently, and over 40 lbs. occasionally).
• Ability to safely use a ladder with a 375 lb. total weight limit while carrying equipment.
• Must be able to maneuver confined access areas.
• Ability to comfortably and routinely access rooftops at heights of 15-20 feet, and occasionally up to 50+ feet.
• Exposure to variable weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, electrical shock, and noisy operating equipment.
