About the Role: Remote Healthcare Scrum Master/Project Manager

Insight Global is seeking an experienced professional for a fully remote, six-month contract position as a Remote Healthcare Scrum Master/Project Manager, with potential for full-time conversion. This role is crucial for leading large-scale platform modernization and complex transformational programs within the healthcare sector.

The successful candidate will embrace a dual role, functioning both as a Scrum Master and Project Manager. This involves overseeing cross-functional teams and ensuring the successful delivery of critical initiatives. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are paramount for managing budgets, facilitating technical and business discussions, and delivering executive-level reporting.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Dedicate approximately 60% of time to Scrum Master duties, including hosting daily standups and collaborating closely with the Product Owner.
  • Document and utilize storyboard tools such as Jira and RTC IBM for Scrum activities.
  • Allocate 40% of time to Project Management responsibilities, managing status reports and overseeing various workflows, including budget management.
  • Document processes through Clarity reports and prepare PowerPoint presentations for L1, L2, and L3 executive teams.
  • Manage project budgets, including resource hours/costs, SOWs, infrastructure, and cloud expenses, for projects up to $4 million in annual spend.
  • Lead and facilitate technical and business discussions across teams.
  • Provide comprehensive status updates, including identifying and reporting risks and issues to senior leadership.
  • Manage 2-3 teams concurrently when necessary.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in healthcare or insurance, with specific knowledge of claims and understanding of the provider/member/claim flow.
  • Proficiency with PM/SM tools such as Jira, Clarity (for budget management), IBM RRC (Rational Requirement Composer), QuickBase, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from initiation to completion (end-to-end).
  • Capacity to effectively serve in both Scrum Master and Project Manager capacities.
  • Expertise in budget management, including comprehensive oversight of resource allocation and expenditures.
  • Skilled in Agile and Hybrid methodologies, including Kanban.
  • Strong capabilities in developing detailed project plans, roadmaps, and engaging executive presentations (PowerPoint).
  • Experience providing clear and concise status updates, including risks and issues, to senior leadership.
  • Ability to facilitate complex technical and business discussions.
  • Direct experience managing teams within claims departments.
