Remote Clinical Psychologist for VA Disability Evaluations

Opportunity Summary

We are seeking independent contractors (1099) Clinical Psychologists to expand our network of government behavioral health interviewers/evaluators. In this fully remote role, psychologists will complete telehealth/telephonic Mental Health Disability Questionnaires with veterans. These evaluations focus on conditions such as Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Military Sexual Trauma (MST), and other psychiatric conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Possess excellent writing skills and the ability to integrate clinical interview data with available records to formulate a diagnostic impression.
  • Complete and submit all required documentation expeditiously (within 48 hours) and accurately in the specified format.
  • Be reliable and dependable to ensure veteran appointments are conducted successfully and documentation is submitted promptly, as veterans’ benefits and care depend on these actions.
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills and the capacity to efficiently sift through and identify relevant information.
  • Provide weekly availability and report appointment completions and no-shows to the lead scheduler after every shift.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • PsyD or PhD from an APA-accredited doctoral program with a concentration in clinical or forensic psychology or counseling.
  • Must hold a valid and unrestricted license to practice as an independent psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, or a Commonwealth, territory, or possession of the United States.
  • Experience conducting VA Disability Questionnaires is preferred; however, applicants with experience in disability and/or forensic evaluations will be considered.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to provide at least 5 hours of availability on a regular basis.
  • Experienced in one or more Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Must be a US citizen and reside in the United States.
  • PsyPact preferred.
