Lensa is promoting a summer internship opportunity at Medtronic where interns work full-time across various engineering disciplines to improve healthcare technology and access. Interns will work on real projects within R&D, Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical Design, Product, Sustaining, Systems, and Test engineering teams.
A Day in the Life
As an R&D Engineering Intern Summer 2026, you will:
- Participate in design, development, and testing projects.
- Work with experienced engineering teams on life-changing healthcare solutions.

- Engage in in-person collaboration at Medtronic hubs.

Internship Details
The internship is full-time (40 hours/week) for 10-11 weeks during summer 2026. It is open to candidates pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in biomedical, electrical, mechanical, computer engineering or related fields with graduation dates between Winter 2026 and Spring 2028. Eligibility requires U.S. work authorization without future sponsorship needs.
Location & Work Arrangement
Internship positions are primarily onsite at Medtronic hubs in Minnesota, California, Colorado, and the Northeastern U.S., with additional opportunities available in other states. In-person attendance is required at least 4 days per week.
Benefits & Compensation
Medtronic offers competitive salary, hourly rates between $26.50 and $45.25, and a comprehensive benefits package including relocation assistance, housing stipend, health benefits, and more.
