Overview
Lensa is promoting an exciting Summer 2026 R&D Engineering Internship at Medtronic. Interns will work full-time (40 hours/week) for 10-11 weeks and be part of experienced engineering teams, focusing on fields such as R&D, Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical Design, Product, Sustaining, Systems and Test engineering.
A Day in the Life
Interns contribute to a range of roles including:
- R&D Engineer: Designing, developing, analyzing, troubleshooting during research and product development.
- Systems Engineer: Technical planning, system integration, verification, and cost-risk analysis.
- Electrical Engineer: Researching, designing, and testing electrical components and systems.
- Biomedical Engineer: Ensuring biomedical equipment meets regulatory and quality standards.
- Mechanical Design Engineer: Planning, designing, and moving from R&D to manufacturing.
- Product Engineer: Supporting production engineering and optimizing device production.
- Test Engineer: Designing and implementing testing methods and equipment.
Internship Details & Requirements
This internship is full-time, paid, and offers competitive compensation along with housing assistance and relocation stipends for eligible candidates. Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant engineering fields with anticipated graduation dates between Winter 2026 and Spring 2028, and must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
