Responsibilities

As a Quality Engineer - Test Quality, you will:

  • Gather and create test cases, scenarios, and data requirements.
  • Provide detailed defect reports to technical teams and users.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive testing with test plans, cases and scripts.
  • Ensure test cases align with business flows and functional requirements.
  • Utilize Rally, ALM or similar tools for tracking progress and defects.
  • Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams and support various project needs.
  • Prepare key testing documents including Test Design, Test Plan, Test Summary, and Requirement Traceability Matrix.
  • Apply optional Test Automation skills using platforms like IGNITE to improve efficiency.
  • Drive quality improvements with metrics and analytics, shifting to prevention based quality measures.
  • Guide teams on Quality Plans and overall project quality assurance.

Skills & Experience

Required skills include:

  • Strong knowledge of test case creation and defect reporting.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum teams.
  • Experience with Rally, ALM, or similar tools.
  • Understanding business processes and translating them into test scenarios.
  • Test Automation framework knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required along with proven experience in quality assurance and software testing, both manual and automated.

Contract Details

This is a remote, 11-month contract position. The expected base salary ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour, accompanied by a competitive benefits package.
