Job Summary
The People Resources Operations Coordinator is a champion of Enlightened Hospitality, ensuring every Shake Shack Team Member (current, potential, and past) is supported and heard. As the primary point of contact for PR inquiries, you will leverage our case management tool and other PR technology platforms to provide seamless, high-quality solutions to Team Member inquiries and issues related to People Resources' programs, technology, and processes. By blending technical expertise with genuine care, you’ll turn complex questions into simple resolutions, upholding our commitment to integrity by safeguarding the data and privacy of our people while fostering a culture that Uplifts and Cares.
This role is eligible for remote work. However, team members who live within a commutable distance of one of Shake Shack’s Support Centers will follow a hybrid schedule and are expected to work onsite three days per week.
Support Center locations include:
- New York Support Center – 225 Varick St., New York, NY
- Atlanta Support Center – 2 Ballpark Center, 800 Battery Ave SE, Atlanta, GA
Job Responsibilities and Duties
Service Delivery
With a full understanding of the end-to-end employee life cycle experience, acts as the primary (Tier I) People Operations contact for Team Members and managers, providing education and troubleshooting simple-to-complex issues. Identifies and resolves trending issues by collaborating with stakeholders and documenting solutions to ensure a seamless, "enlightened" support experience.
People Data Management
Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of People Resources transactions maintaining employee and organization data within PR technology platforms (i.e. Workday, Paradox, etc.) ensuring efficient system alignment, data security, and Team member access. Conducts routine and ad-hoc reports / audits of people resources data and processes to ensure integrity and accuracy.
Knowledge Management
Develops self-service reference guides, knowledge-based articles, and training materials considering the end user experience. Supports the change management of new PR Technology enhancements and PR programs, maintaining knowledge and anticipating needs.
Process Improvement
Supports and collaborates with People Resources program leaders (Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compliance, Learning & Talent Development, and People Practices) offering feedback and recommendations addressing opportunities for improvement within PR systems and programs, utilizing PR technology knowledge and reporting, HR best practices, and case management sentiment of the Team Member experience. Supports PR Technology enhancements and implementations through coordinating change management activities, process documentation, and user acceptance testing. And as with most any job, other duties as assigned.

Education or Certificate Details (nice to have)
- Degree in Human Resources, Computer Sciences, or related field
- SHRM certification
- Lean Six Sigma certification
Related Experience
- HR/People Operations, Generalist, Coordinator, Analyst, etc.
- Shared Services or Customer Services associate
- Experience with CRMs, Knowledge Management, and Project Management systems, with a preference for Workday Help, Jira, and Confluence
- Experience managing employee data and transactions, and pulling reports within an HRIS platform and reports; preference for Workday
- Project management experience

Pay Range - $28.53 - $46.36 *The salary paid to a successful applicant will depend on the applicant’s experience, qualifications, business needs and resources, and the candidate’s location.
