Job Responsibilities
The Office Assistant performs clerical tasks under supervision with well-established guidelines. Duties include greeting patients or visitors, answering/screening telephone calls, filing, distributing mail, and general administrative support. The role may also include assembling and maintaining patient charts, making copies, handling appointment scheduling, maintaining records, tracking office inventory including ordering supplies, ensuring office equipment functionality and requesting maintenance, and communicating with patients, families, healthcare providers and other team members.
Required Education & Experience
High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience. No previous experience is required.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects (0-25 lbs)
- Routine sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive movements
- Frequent keyboard use and data entry
- Occasional moderate lifting and bending
Work Shift & Benefits
This position works day shifts (United States of America) with a scheduled 40 weekly hours.
