Job Summary

Job Description
The Manual QA Analyst provides the means and measures for testing all aspects of a software solution, both functionally and technically, to meet requirements and overall quality for its intended use. This role is responsible for creating and executing an end-to-end test plan, managing all activities to ensure objectives are met, and verifying the solution works as expected. Testing encompasses functionality, performance, reliability/stability, and compatibility with other systems. This position requires collaboration with technical peers to accomplish assignments. Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies is highly desirable.
Scope of Work
- Execute Quality Assurance activities to ensure system standards and user requirements are met.
- Write, manage, and execute comprehensive test plans.
- Design, write, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
- Leverage Jira, SQL, and other testing tools for Quality Assurance activities.
- Gain a deep understanding of the operating environment, business processes, and application functionality.
- Experience with Mobile testing on different platforms and operating systems.
- Experienced with the use of test tools in a DevOps environment.
- Author test suites, including test scenarios and test cases, traceable to requirements.
- Validate data and reports using SQL and other relevant tools.
- Prioritize and plan quality control activities across large projects, reporting regularly on product quality.
- Responsible for risk assessment for each release and contributing to bug reporting and triage.
- Identify, document, and track issues found during testing.
- Coordinate with developers and project team members to triage and resolve issues.
- Determine, communicate, and execute the appropriate testing strategy for each deliverable.
- Evaluates the performance of automation systems or processes, finding improvement opportunities.
- Responsible for repeatable test automation or manual testing at all three levels of the Agile Test Pyramid.
- Addresses client’s requirements and resolves complex problems related to industrial automation systems architecture or process implementation.
Required Skills/Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in the field or a related area.
- Working knowledge of Quality testing and business process analysis, concepts, practices, and procedures in Agile/DevOps environments.
- Ability to demonstrate creativity combined with analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical peers and business partners.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team; may assist and guide junior staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong experience with a code-based test automation suite such as Selenium or Katalon is required.
- Strong experience with modern languages such as JavaScript, C#, PHP, or Python.
- Strong experience with build automation technologies like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, and Swagger.
- Proven ability to write automated test scripts to verify data structures, data formats, and data values.
- Experience with Jenkins or similar build/deployment automation tools.
Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
