About the Junior Electrical Design Engineer Role at Butler America
Butler America is seeking a talented Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. This remote position involves performing comprehensive electrical design, modeling, and drafting tasks for various aerospace components and systems. The role requires meticulous attention to detail in laying out and detailing assemblies and installations, including intricate electrical assemblies for circuit breaker panels, as well as the installation of antennas, lights, and complex harness routing.
This role is ideal for an engineer with 1-5 years of relevant experience who is proficient in solid modeling and drafting, with a strong emphasis on CATIA V5. While a BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology is required, a degree specifically in Electrical Engineering is not preferred, indicating a focus on broader engineering principles and practical application.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical design, modeling, and drafting tasks for various systems.
- Execute layout and detail design of assemblies and installations.
- Design electrical assemblies for components such as circuit breaker panels.
- Manage installations of antennas, lights, and complex harness routing.
Required Qualifications
- 1-5 years of relevant work experience in electrical design.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Electrical Engineering degree not preferred).
- Experience with solid modeling and drafting.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5, Capital, CCD/CADEX, 3DX, V6, CADRA.
- Hands-on experience with harness routing, antenna installation, light installation, and equipment installation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Familiarity with Capital Harness.
