About the Junior Developer Role (Application Engineer) at a Leading Financial Service Client

Our leading financial service client, facilitated by Insight Global, is seeking a talented Junior Developer to join their Middle Office Asset Serving Technology group. This role will initially be a remote assignment and will transition into a hybrid model, eventually requiring onsite presence in Downtown Manhattan (240 Greenwich St). As a Junior Developer, you will be responsible for developing technical solutions and utilizing new or existing applications to provide asset servicing clients with crucial access to their account data, trade details, and activity. The initial focus will be on Ruby, and you will be tasked with learning both Java and Ruby throughout the position. We are looking for a sharp, motivated individual eager to expand their computer skills and gain knowledge in the financial industry.

Skills and Requirements

  • 0-3 years of development experience (including boot camps).
  • Experience with any Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) languages such as Java, Ruby, JavaScript, or Python.
  • A great personality and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with the Financial Services background is a plus.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.
