Position Overview: Jr. Systems Engineer

Atlas Technica is seeking a Jr. Systems Engineer to join its rapidly growing organization. This is a highly technical role offering excellent career development opportunities. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Systems Engineers and Sr. Systems Engineers, facilitating rapid technical growth. This position is a 100% dedicated onsite role, reporting to a client's office. This is a great opportunity to join a financial industry-focused Managed Service Provider (MSP) and become a dedicated onsite junior systems engineer for a high-profile customer, acting as an extension of the Atlas Support Team directly supporting the client's user base and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Perform IT support services directly to users onsite.
• Manage support queries efficiently using a ticketing system.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to organizational rules and guidelines.
• Comply with strict change control procedures.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of IT experience in Desktop Support, Systems Engineering, or Systems Administration.
• Proficiency in End User Support/Desktop Support, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and troubleshooting desktop/mobile devices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating responsibility and follow-through.
• Ability to support the Microsoft 365 stack, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, and Azure AD.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Platforms, Active Directory, and Group Policy for Systems Administration.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts.
• Periodic travel to customer office locations within the metropolitan area.
• Ability to complete physical requirements including lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, standing/sitting for extended periods, pushing/pulling, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, using fingers/hands, reaching, and working around machinery.

Desirable Qualities

• Financial industry experience, including familiarity with market vendor applications such as Bloomberg, Thompson Reuters, FactSet, and CapIQ.
• Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
• Support experience with Sophos or similar endpoint threat management products.
• Basic understanding of virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience utilizing the ConnectWise suite of products.
• Familiarity with vendors such as Google Workspace, Box, Dropbox, Duo, Okta, and AirWatch.
