Remote IT Quality Assurance and Compliance Analyst

What You’ll Do

As an IT Quality Assurance and Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the IT department adheres to all internal and external policies, procedures, investor guidelines, and US state and federal laws and regulations. You will also manage timely and accurate responses to audit and compliance requests for the enterprise.

  • Assist in providing evidence for audit engagements, assessments, and due diligence requests.
  • Evaluate documentation for accuracy and completeness, reconciling it against audit controls and requirements.
  • Create and maintain a repository of support documentation for consistency in audit responses.
  • Coordinate with internal resources to ensure timely and accurate responses to requests.
  • Support annual government certification activities, including NIST and SSAE engagements.
  • Ensure the continuity and accuracy of audit, regulatory, and due diligence responses.
  • Review and update IT Department policies and procedures, recommending necessary changes.
  • Maintain detailed communication on all requests, providing progress updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with business units and departmental contacts to gather necessary evidence.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend changes for compliance.

What You’ll Need

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with the mortgage industry and/or financial services is preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard audit guidelines, processes, and terminology (NIST, SSAE) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel and Visio.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and technical skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to comprehend complex problems and collaborate on alternative solutions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules for short-term and long-term tasks.
  • Ability to compose reports and communicate technical details effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Three (3) plus years of professional experience in report development, regulatory compliance, or audit management.
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in mortgage servicing, financial services, or a regulatory industry.
  • LEAN, Six Sigma, or other process improvement/project management training/experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Jira is a plus.
