The Role: IT Pharmacist Business Analyst
This IT Pharmacist Business Analyst position is responsible for the crucial task of building and maintaining Epic Medication (eRx) Records. You will collaborate closely with operational partners to implement requested changes and identify opportunities for workflow and application maintenance improvements. This role involves representing the Epic Willow team in various projects and fostering cross-application team collaboration. You will lead Willow-driven projects and work alongside operational subject matter experts and other application team members. Adherence to Change Management protocols, including build standards, testing, quality assurance practices, and technical documentation requirements, is essential. This role also includes providing non-prime call support.
Work Arrangement
While this role is generally remote, please note that for all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain eRx/medication records within the Epic system.
- Perform timely updates to medication data in response to evolving clinical practices.
- Collaborate effectively with operational pharmacy partners and various IT teams to support Epic applications related to pharmacy.
- Provide support for additional pharmacy applications, such as Omnicell, when necessary.
- Operate as an individual contributor within the dedicated pharmacy solutions team.
- Participate in non-prime call support as required.

Required Qualifications
- Active, licensed pharmacist status.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacist.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or Proficiency in Epic Willow Inpatient and/or Willow Ambulatory. New hires without this will be expected to complete certification/proficiency shortly after their start date.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using and/or maintaining Epic Willow applications.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay is determined by several factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. In addition to your competitive salary, UnitedHealth Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase options, and 401k contributions. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. The salary for this role typically ranges from $91,700 to $163,700 annually for full-time employment. We ensure compliance with all applicable minimum wage laws.
