Internship Details
This internship pools candidates for various roles. Selected candidates will be contacted by MITRE's Student Programs team during the primary hiring season from September through March.
Job Responsibilities
As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals to apply your cybersecurity and information security knowledge. Areas of focus include:
- Adversary Emulation and Deception
- Cyber Effects, Reverse Engineering, and Forensics
- Cyber Threat Intelligence and Operational Technology
- Internet of Things and Mobile Device Security
- Designing Safe, Secure, and Resilient Systems
- Cyber Policy Development
Basic Qualifications
Applicants must be full-time students in a related degree program with foundational knowledge of cybersecurity methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Academic excellence is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in internships, research, or labs applying cybersecurity knowledge, along with proficiency in relevant methodologies and tools, is desirable. Independent work ability and a commitment to public service are valued.
Security Clearance
The selected candidate must have or obtain appropriate U.S. Government Security clearance, as determined by the Department of Defense's guidelines.
Salary and Work Arrangement
The internship offers an annual compensation approximate to the midpoint of $57,000 and follows a hybrid work model.
