FieldCore, an integral part of GE Vernova's Gas Power One Field Services team, is actively seeking an engaged and driven Instrumentation & Controls Technician to join their team based in Spain. The Role of an Instrumentation & Controls Technician

As an Instrumentation & Controls Technician, having completed level two competencies, you will be responsible for a comprehensive range of tasks related to field instruments, equipment systems, and controls. This includes disassembling, inspecting, cleaning, repairing, calibrating, and testing these components. You will also perform periodic maintenance, evaluate and determine necessary modifications, and execute complex repairs or overhauls during scheduled maintenance or unscheduled troubleshooting.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Record and report abnormal function or out-of-tolerance conditions of equipment, initiating corrective action and comprehensive documentation.
  • Provide daily records of inspection, maintenance activities, repairs, and other work performed in adherence to approved guidelines and procedures.
  • Reinstall, test, evaluate, calibrate, and maintain instruments or devices upon successful completion of repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with customer staff regarding the calibration, repair, and operation of equipment as required.
  • Perform all work strictly in accordance with approved equipment, calibration, maintenance, and safety procedures.
  • Be prepared to undertake other duties that proactively support FieldCore's vision and align with the organization's core values.

Special Role Requirements

  • Preferred field of study or equivalent related work experience in instrumentation and controls.
  • Must possess appropriate license or certification where mandated by federal, state, or local laws.
  • English proficiency is highly valued for international collaboration.
  • Demonstrated experience in instrumentation, controls, installing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing equipment.
  • Proven understanding and application of physical standards for mass, temperature, flow, and pressure.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, schematic diagrams, and specification manuals.
  • A team player committed to working in a high-quality environment.
  • Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects within specified time constraints.
  • Strong organizational skills are essential.
  • Openness and willingness to travel extensively, both internationally and domestically.
  • Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as dictated by field assignments.
